Sofa is a student film culminating from a year long class on screenwriting and directing. I was approached by the director after being recommended by a friend as a designer.

The challenge was to work in the confines of a small apartment and emphasize the disgusting nature of the two roommates by dirtying the set throughout the movie to reflect the advancing plot.

I designed the "phasing" of the dirtiness through SketchUp, and on set I ensured continuity as well as physically placed and replaced most of the props you see, down to every dirty napkin.
